David Bowie

185 X 140 CM Oil On Canvas

“I don’t see any boundaries between any of the art forms. I think they all inter-relate completely.” — David Bowie

This painting is inspired by the visionary David Bowie, whose artistry transcended music, fashion, and performance. His ability to blur the lines between art forms has always fascinated me. I wanted to capture that limitless energy — the way he existed beyond categories, beyond time.

The artwork is composed in a pixelated, mosaic style — symbolizing the fragmentation and reconstruction of identity. Each block of color represents a different facet of creativity, emotion, and reinvention. When viewed up close, it’s abstract and chaotic; but from a distance, it reveals the familiar face of an icon who shaped generations through fearless experimentation.

Personally, I believe art is an expression — not confined by rules or definitions, but driven by feeling, belief, and character. Like Bowie, I see no boundaries between painting, music, performance, or design — they are all threads woven into the same creative fabric. This piece is my homage to that philosophy: a celebration of freedom, transformation, and the courage to be endlessly reborn through art.
