Heartprints was commissioned by a devoted collector who wanted to honor two special companions: her beloved dog who has passed, and her cherished cat who still walks beside her today. Though they never met in life, they are brought together here in one timeless, tender moment.

Creating this painting was both a challenge and a privilege. I only had a few photographs to reference, but through her heartfelt stories, I began to truly understand them—their personalities, quirks, and the immense joy they brought into her world. The more I painted, the more I felt I was painting not just animals, but the echoes of a bond that never fades.

I imagined cupids gently caring for them, offering milk and treats, as if celebrating their innocence and loyalty. The dog sits joyfully, tongue out, while the cat watches with quiet, regal calm. Together, they are surrounded by love—playful, eternal, and light as air.

This piece is a tribute to the invisible threads of love that connect us with the animals who share our lives. Their presence lingers long after they’re gone, leaving heartprints that never fade.
